Project Overview
DCMS was commissioned to carry out a full Scan-to-BIM survey for this A&W restaurant in Quebec. The scope of the project included capturing the architectural and structural conditions of the 23,771 sq. ft. building, with a special focus on the site signage system for branding consistency and renovation support. This as-built documentation supported both internal planning and external signage coordination for the client.

Our team utilized advanced scanning methods to ensure accurate data collection for retail renovation planning.
Terrestrial LiDAR scan of the interior and exterior using Leica RTC360
Drone-based aerial capture for orthophoto generation and site mapping
Revit modeling (LOD 300) to create a digital twin of the building and signage components

Large Site Signage Integration: Signage elements required separate modeling: captured via aerial drone and incorporated into the Revit model
Winter Weather Conditions: Efficient scheduling and use of high-speed LiDAR minimized weather-related delays
