Located in a commercial complex in Grass Valley, California, this 3,754 sq. ft. single-level unit has long served as a veterinary clinic, complete with customer-facing and service areas. Surrounded by ample parking and neighboring retail tenants, the space was documented to capture its existing layout with precision. The project supported future renovation planning, ensuring accurate data for both architectural and service coordination.

Our Role & Technology
DCMS carried out a Scan-to-BIM workflow using LiDAR technology to capture the space with millimeter-level accuracy. The clear interior layout enabled an efficient survey and a fast turnaround, resulting in a complete deliverable package within eight days.
Produced a detailed Revit model with all walls, partitions, ceilings, and service features
Integrated visible MEP elements within the RCP for precise documentation of mechanical systems
Delivered CAD and PDF drawings annotated for both technical and design coordination needs

Clinic layout documentation: Veterinary-specific service and prep zones were carefully captured for reuse
Ceiling-mounted MEP features: Lighting, ducts, and fixtures were modeled to guide future technical integration
