Project Overview
As part of a major redevelopment initiative, DCMS conducted a detailed Scan-to-BIM survey of Solana Beach Shopping Mall. The property was undergoing a strategic revitalization to meet the evolving needs of retail, dining, medical office, and corporate workspace tenants. The goal was to modernize the space while optimizing the tenant mix, focusing on food, beverage, health, and wellness brands to enhance consumer appeal.

Our Role & Technology
To support the transformation, DCMS deployed advanced reality capture technology, combining terrestrial LiDAR scanning with aerial drone photogrammetry to document the mall’s existing structural conditions in high resolution. Tools used:
LiDAR scanning and drone imagery
Point cloud processing
AutoCAD and 3D modeling software.
