Project Overview
DCMS was contracted to scan and document the architectural conditions of the iconic National Hotel, located in the heart of Miami Beach’s historic Art Deco district. Our scope included a 3D laser survey of the main lobby, kitchen, and basement, supporting an upcoming renovation in collaboration with a Miami-based architecture firm. The project also extended outdoors to capture the infinity-edge pool and terrace, central features of the hotel’s identity.

To preserve historic design while enabling technical upgrades, DCMS conducted a high-precision site survey focused on renovation accuracy and heritage integrity. Key tools and methods used:
Matterport 3D Scanning – Captured high-resolution visuals and accurate measurements of interior spaces
Point Cloud to LOD 200 Revit Model – Documented key architectural elements and layouts
Exterior Site Capture – Created animated views and context for pool, terraces, and façade
