Project Overview
Located in the suburban neighborhood of Kendall, southwest of Miami, this 4,656 sq. ft. daycare center features a single-story layout surrounded by gardens and shared community spaces. With arched entrances, gabled roofs, and classical columns, the building required high-precision documentation to guide future renovation efforts. A full LiDAR-based architectural survey was conducted to support accurate planning, design development, and facility upgrades.

Our Role & Technology
DCMS conducted a full interior and exterior LiDAR survey, capturing detailed architectural features and functional spaces. High-accuracy modeling ensured a coordinated BIM output for the client’s design team.
Modeled walls, roofs, arches, and round columns with accurate point cloud geometry
Developed interior elevations by sector to improve review and coordination workflows
Documented visible MEP elements including appliances, switches, and plumbing fixtures
Key Challenges & Solutions
Decorative features such as arches and rounded columns were precisely modeled from point cloud data.
Room-by-room complexity required integration of furniture, appliances, and MEP components through targeted scanning.
Fast delivery needs were met by organizing elevation sets by zone to streamline production and reviews.
